Golden Retriever Training: From Crate To Grass

Avoidance of housebreaking of the new is not possible, but the basic fact is that it will increase the level of understanding between the dog and its master.

Golden retriever breeders have all possible information pertaining to the training of Labrador retrievers.

It’s good to consult a breeder and get all information about the principal points to be paid attention to regarding his breed.

Encouragement will be received from the breeder regarding the love of dogs for outdoor activities, water and humans.

There exists a lot of similarity between a Golden retriever and a Labrador.

The Golden retriever and the Labrador will receive similar training despite the fact that colors of the Labrador may vary a lot.

Due to the inborn friendly attitude of the Golden retrievers, their masters will derive huge amount of pleasure and entertainment once their training is complete.

Golden retrievers breed were invented by the inmates of Scotland who originated them after their successful crossing of a yellow retriever with a Tweed Water Spaniel, supposed to be a Field Spaniel breed that is now believed to have been no more in existence.

Labrador retrievers are considered to be family dogs who can hunt well; however the Spaniel can swim very well and can rescue from dangers because of its adaptability.

Spaniels have great compatibility quotient with dogs and cats but not with rabbits, rats and mice.

Swimming, hunting and rescue abilities are the main characteristics of a golden retriever.

As soon as the Golden retrievers and Labrador retrievers develop the feeling for urinating, their training must be started in their puppyhood itself.

For the puppy to be able to wet, soil and chew his crate the crate can’t have a bedding in the bottom, but it can have a wire shelf with a cover.

What the puppy chews is dangerous for him. It is important to make a habit out of putting the puppy in his crate at night and letting him out in the morning.

When letting the puppy out in the morning show him the spot chosen for him to potty, either the backyard or an indoor mat made for the puppy’s needs.

The puppy must be repeatedly encouraged with words in a gentle tone.

Puppy treats and approval remarks are also great rewards when he remembers where you teach him to potty.

Keep your puppies supervised so you can catch his accidents and educate him showing him the right place? Try to be constant so as to not miss a single time.

The more you pay attention to your puppy the faster he’ll learn and have no accidents.

Extra love and attention are demanded when your dog obeys the potty instructions; this will motivate him to get it right.

Also, food and water can help your puppy go if he doesn’t go when he first gets up.

After that show him the proper place to potty so that he can try again. (If both the potty area and feeding area are inside it is important to keep them separate.)

It will take some time for the puppy to learn, especially when they are young because they tend to go right after they eat.

For weeks the puppy will need the same attention as the first day but when he learns he’ll know to where to go potty.
