Every dog owner knows that one of the best ways to train a dog to walk easily by their owner’s side or lay down when they are told, is through repetition. For instance, if your dog has developed a problem with licking her paws to the point where she has no fur left on them, you can change this behavior by distracting her with a toy each time she begins to lick her paws.
However, if something interrupts the behavior, catches their interest and draws them out of the pattern repeatedly, it forms a new pattern. It is triggered by the sound of a bark, so if the dog barks during a time when barking is inappropriate, it can change the dog’s behavior pattern by distracting it with an ultrasonic sound. Once they are distracted, they tend to forget what they were doing in the first place. The unit detects a bark and immediately distracts the dog from its behavior by emitting a sound that only a dog can hear. But, if you’ll pardon the pun, the premise for the product is sound.
